Talent Quest Guidelines
Talent Quest Registration Form
The Appalachian Conference Talent Quest ministry serves as a great opportunity for our youth
to discover and develop their God-given talents in order to serve God in active ministry. Talent
Quest should be a continual ministry in the local church, as young people use their gifts in the
local church and their community throughout the year.

Please make note of these very important changes for 2006!
- NO DISTRICT TALENT FOR 2006! All registration will be conference level entries. All Juniors will compete March 11th. All Alpha and Omega Teens will compete on March 25th. No district fees! No district travel!
- Any teen individual or group score of 270 or above will automatically be eligible to advance to the National Fine Arts Festival which will be held during Youth Quest in Daytona Beach on July 17-20. All first place conference teen winners will advance regardless of score.
- New category: Rap Music
- Carefully read the 2006 National Talent Guidelines. Failure to follow the guidelines could result in penalties or disqualification.
How to register your youth:
- Use the Talent Registration form for Juniors and Teens and fill it our completely
- Enclose the correct registration fees ($20 for single category, $35 for group category). Registration fees MUST accompany registration form. Participants are not registered until both registration form and fees are received (NO FAXES).
- All entries must be postmarked by February 13, 2006. This is the absolute deadline for conference talent registration. Start now, so your youth will not be disqualified because of late registration
Other important information:
- Both conference finals will be held at Harbor of Hope Pentecostal Holiness CHurch in Christiansburg, VA. This great new facility is conveniently located just off I-81 Exit 118C on Route 460 east. Roll call will be at 8:45am
- In case of inclement weather, April 1 will be used as an alternative date. To check on any changes due to weather, or for information updates, call or visit this website.
- All creative writing, video, and website design entries will be pre-judged. These entries (5 copies for writing and video) must ARRIVE (website online) at the CEM Office by March 1, 2006.
- It is important for the talent director in the chruch to help prepare their youth fr competition. Check the National Guidelines to ensure they are entered in the proper category. Have your youth minister in the church and community before talent finals arrive.
