Camp Maranatha

Camp Maranatha 2021

As I have processed through the months leading up to summer, and our Camp Maranatha season, there are days that I find myself on the camp grounds; looking, reminiscing, thinking about and reliving the moments. Moments where we all were gathered together around a camp fire, the tabernacle altar, the pool, the zipline or a kick ball game on the field. I have missed those times in the last year. I have missed you!! I know the time will come that we will gather again on these grounds and that God will give us new and exciting opportunities of refreshing and renewal. Friendships will remain and new ones will be cultivated because we are Camp Maranatha FAMILY! Do not grow weary in these moments but hold fast to the hope that we have in Jesus Christ. Know that you are thought of and prayed for in this time. We are diligently working towards having CAMP this summer. Though it may look and be different we are trying to make it happen. Please find enclosed your Workers Application for Camp Maranatha 2021. The guidelines we are presently being asked to follow in order to open camp this season include:

- Mask mandates for indoors and outside
- Social Distancing
- Smaller Groups
- Pre-Camp and Daily Health Screenings

According to what we are hearing we are expecting changes to our state mandates prior to camp opening. We are scheduled to receive an update on May 28, 2021. A detailed list of protocols will be published by June 1, 2021. We will keep you updated as to how this will affect the operation of camp. There are still many factors that will affect whether or not we can have camp this summer:

- Health Department and State COVID Guidelines: which can change at any time between now and camp

But, we are cautiously and prayerfully moving ahead. We are asking that if you can work camp this summer or if your students plan to attend to go ahead and register now. We need those registrations!!! If things change and you feel like you cannot work or your students cannot attend due to guidelines once registered we will understand and camp fees will be refunded. Please feel free to call me at the Conference office at 540-674-4131 ext. 201 for more information or if you have questions. May God continue to bless you and keep you as we work together to build His Kingdom. Keep praying with us and look for God to move in our midst. Know that we are praying with and for you!
