Ministerial Credentialing Program

Below is a list of different levels of licensure for ministerial studies. Candidates must be approved by the Conference Executive Council before starting the course study program. If you are interested in becoming a licensed minister with the Appalachian Conference please contact us for more information and requirements.
In an effort to unify the ministerial education across the I.P.H.C., Steve Ely, Director of Clergy Development designed a track of study that could be implemented across the denomination. The Ministerial Credentialing Program (MCP) is a three-year educational track, with a total of 31 classes, which allows an individual to seek ordination within the International Pentecostal Holiness Church. Each class, depending on the subject matter, can be completed within four to six weeks. Each year, students will have two in-person classes that will be held at the Appalachian Conference Training Center.

The program is designed in such a way that allows for the growth, development, and continued education of the candidate. After the completion of the first year, the individual is eligible for their Local Church Minister’s License. Following the second year, the individual is eligible for their IPHC Minister’s License.
Finally, with the completion of the third year, the candidate is eligible for IPHC ordination. This system was built with flexibility in mind. Upon completion of the program, students could possibly earn up to (30 Hours) of transferable college credit to Holmes Bible College and (24 Hours) of transferable college credit to Southwestern Christian University.
