Team USA Trip
July 7-10, 2025
The Great Commission includes all our world…from our own neighborhood to the far corners of the earth. This includes McDowell County, WV. which is only 78 miles from the conference office. Yet it seems like a world away as you pass abandoned cars and buildings that are in various states of despair. This county that was once booming when coal was king, is now listed as the poorest county in the USA. (Median Household Income).
When you talk to our pastors in the county you can get a better understanding of the struggle our churches are having. The population exodus due to the lack of jobs have greatly depleted church attendance. The scourge of illegal drugs have torn at the fabric of families. Yet our nine pastors remain optimistic and hopeful to make a difference in their communities. We have conference churches in Big Four, Coalwood, English, Gary, Leckie, Premier, Roderfield, Welch and Yukon.
This is where you can help. Next summer, July 8-10, 2025, the conference will form “Team USA” to do ministry alongside our PH churches. Our goal is currently 2-fold: Minister to children and youth in crusades and do physical work on our PH churches. Other ministries may develop as the team comes together. I am looking for youth and adults that will join together to help our IPHC family right here at home. The other need is financial donations for the church projects. More information will be released soon.
